Fujifilm Announces 30mm f/2.8 Macro
Fujifilm has announced the Fujinon XF30mm f/2.8 Macro lens. Offering a 46mm full frame equivalent has a minimum focusing distance of 3.94 in (10cm) from the camera’s sensor. It is an internal focusing lens.
Fujifilm Announces X-T5 APS-C Camera
Fujifilm has announced the XT-5 APS-C mirrorless camera. It has a back-illuminated 40.2MP sensor with an algorithm that delivers “advanced image resolution without compromising the signal to noise (S/N) ratio.” It has in-body image stabilisation and it can internally record video at up to 6.2K/30p in 4:2:2 10-bit color.
Canon Announces the EOS R6 Mark 2
Canon has announced the EOS R6 Mark II full frame camera. It has a 24.2 MP sensor and can record 4K 59.94p internally or 6K RAW video recording externally. It has in body image stabilization and subject detection AI modes.
Backscatter Announces Mini Flash Version 2
Backscatter has announced version 2 of their Mini Flash. It offers improved performance and power, along with optical TTL with Olympus, high speed sync, and wireless control. It is compatible with existing Backscatter mini flash snoots and there is a new remote lighting muck stick available.

DPG/Wetpixel Master 2022 is Open for Entries
We are proud to announce that the 2022 DPG/Wetpixel Masters of Underwater Imaging Competition is now accepting entries. Focusing on selecting the very best of imagery, the contest’s winners will share in an amazing prize pot worth over $75,000, including cash prizes, in a tightly curated series of categories. These are Wide Angle, Macro, Traditional, Black and White, Over-Under, and Short Film. New for 2022 is the amalgamation of all minimally processed images into a single category and the addition of Over-Under. Entries are open now and will end on 31 December 2022.
Issue 129 of UwP Magazine is Available
The November/December issue of Underwater Photography (UwP) magazine is available to download. Anglerfish Announces GoPro Housing with Extended Battery
Anglerfish Creative Lighting has announced the GP9-F750 underwater housing for the GoPro 9/10/11 action camera. This housing allows the use of the Sony NP-750 battery giving 6 to 7 hours of shooting time.
