Apple has released iMovie version 10.1 which adds support for 4K video to the app. HD output is now available at 1080p at 60 frames per second. Other improvements include a redesigned media browser and Projects view.

iMovie can be accessed via the App Store for purchases and updates.

Elsewhere, the 10.1 iMovie update introduces a handful of minor overhauls to the user experience, including a redesigned media browser, a new Projects view, and the ability to start editing on iMovie for iOS and continue the same project on an iMac.
