Filmmaker, photographer and passionate ocean conservationist, Richard Theiss passed away earlier this month. He was dedicated to capturing nature and underwater images that would move viewers to preserve and protect our precious natural resources. His friend Amanda Cotton has written the following about him:
“Richard Theiss was a man passionate about ocean advocacy and with a heart as big as the seas. He worked diligently toward educating the public of the plight our oceans face. He was a man of character and had a beautifully kind soul. The industry lost a a true ocean warrior with his passing, but his work will live on in the hearts of those who knew him and continue to carry the torch of his marine conservation work.”
