Underwater photographer Henley Spiers has shared the first of a series of interviews entitled “Conversations with Underwater Photographers.” He describes it as being born out of sheer curiosity and he is fascinated to better understand the life story, process, and experiences of his favorite underwater photographers. Hence he resolved to conduct in-person interviews wherein he moves away from formulaic questions and an instant-gratification style of content towards a deeper understanding of their creative processes.
Photographer Christian Vizl has shared “Finding Yourself”, a video of a photo shoot with freediver Maca Benitez in a Mexican cenote. Directed by Alex Luke, the film explains Christian’s vision for the images, and then shows him creating them. It forms part of his project to create a collection of images from the cenotes, with a view of eventually producing a book.
