Subal announces housing for Nikon D5

Subal has released images of their new housing for the Nikon D5 camera. At present, details are not yet available, but it will be available in Subal standard color or black, white, red and blue as an option. The images depict it being equipped with fiber optic ports and electrical ports for strobe triggering. This suggest that it will be compatible with their TTL converter.

Nikon unveils the D5

Nikon has announced their flagship D5 FX SLR. It has a 20.8MP FX CMOS sensor with the EXPEED 5 image processing engine delivering an ISO range of 100 to 102400. AF is via the new 153 point Multi-CAM 20K autofocus sensor module. Video is available on the new camera at UHD resolution at 30p, 25p, 24p frame rates. There are two versions of the camera available, one using two CF cards for storage, and one using two XQD.

In a press release, Nikon USA has confirmed that it plans to launch a new FX format pro camera body. The D5: will offer professional photographers an even higher level of performance and image quality.” The specifications and launch date of the new camera have not yet been announced.
