Freediver William Trubridge breaks 102m world record

New Zealand freediver William Trubridge has broken the 102 meter world record that he held from 2010 in the Bahamas. The dive took 4 minutes and 14 seconds of sinking to 102 meters and then swimming back up with no fins. The world record dive took place in Dean’s Blue Hole in the Bahamas.

William Trubridge breaks free diving world record, twice Photo

William Trubridge breaks free diving world record, twice

Free diver William Trubridge broke the world record in free immersion this past Saturday by diving to a depth of 122 meters, and then promptly broke it again on Monday by adding two more meters to his record. The world record dive of 124 meters (approximately 407 feet deep) was made at the annual Vertical Blue free diving competition in Dean’s Blue Hole in the Bahamas. The previous world record was made in 2011 by Trubridge as well.
