Atlantis ImageMakers 2019

Atlantis Dive Resort and LIveaboards annually invite a group of underwater image makers to their resorts at Dumaguete and Puerto Galera, Philippines to sample the diving and imaging opportunities. Sara Shoemaker Lind, one of the 2019 ImageMakers summarises the trip:

The spirit of the trip, to me, was one of connection. The Atlantis ImageMakers are people who have already proven their competence as divers and commitment to the professional pursuit of underwater image-making who gathered at the special invitation of Atlantis Resorts’ Photo Ambassador Marty Snyderman. To create work together, spending time together underwater, on the boats and at the resorts was not only about the connection to each other but sharing the experience with all of our unique communities of friends, divers, photographers, travelers, and fans. Multiple generations of divers from across the globe were included and sharing experiences and perspectives were not only enjoyable but hugely educational. There was no competition– only tech support and ideas shared from years of cumulative bottom time and industry participation.

Whether sharing stories of curious sharks or copyright violations there were many lively meals shared and tales told. I was delighted to be a part of the adventure.

Many thanks to the staff and management at Atlantis Dumaguete and Puerto Galera. Wetpixel published a blog from the 2019 ImageMakers, which you can view here.
